Founded in May 2012 by Rachel & a small group of community investors, Montclair Bread Company serves up artisan breads, speciality doughnuts, danishes, croissants and other yummy treats. In addition to baked goods, the bakery hosts parties & baking classes for children and adults.
Rachel & a small group of her best running buddies, launched a running club shortly after the first 5K Doughnut Run sold out. The majority of the participants were first time runners and the group wanted to help them stay motivated to keep running. Fueled by Doughnuts offers 5 weekly group runs, coached training plans, monthly pizza parties & other social running events. The club focuses on building relationships & instilling confidence through running & rewards.
Walnut Street Fair
What started as a way to celebrate Montclair Bread Company's first anniversary grew into an annual block party with over 50 craft & food vendors, a showcase of community non-profit organizations, live music. activities and more. The event spans four city blocks and welcomes 5,000 attendees.
Baking camp provides children ages 6-16 with a week of educational, hand-on activities. Topics include, artisan bread, doughnuts, cake baking & decorating, ice cream, cookies, pizza and éclairs. In addition to baking techniques, kids learn about the science and math that help create their yummy treats.

Students learn basic baking techniques in hand-on classes of 6-18 people. Standard classes are open to the public. Private classes can be customized to include any baking topics clients are interested in.
